NoteTaker is an iPhone app that records meetings and trading sessions, transcribes them on your phone, and, if you choose, analyzes the transcript with your own Claude account and saves the result to your own Notion workspace.
This policy explains what the app does with your data. The short version: NoteTaker has no server, no account system, and no analytics. The developer never receives your recordings, transcripts, or keys.
What the app stores on your phone
Audio recordings you make by pressing Record. They are written to the app's private storage on your device.
Transcripts produced from those recordings.
Analyses (summary, action points, trading review) returned by Claude.
Settings, including your Claude API key and Notion integration token. Keys are stored in the iOS Keychain through the system's secure storage.
You can delete any session from inside the app. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.
What leaves your phone, and where it goes
Nothing leaves your phone unless you take one of the actions below. Each one sends data only to a service you have connected with your own credentials.
Analyze a session. The transcript text and session details (type, date, duration) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API, using your API key, to produce the summary and review.
Push to Notion. To save the session in your Notion workspace, through Notion's API, using your integration token, will push the analysis and transcript text into the database you chose.
Audio is never uploaded anywhere. Transcription uses Apple's on-device speech recognition, which runs entirely on the phone.
Data you send to Anthropic and Notion is governed by their privacy policies and by the settings of your own accounts with them. NoteTaker's developer has no access to those accounts.
What the developer collects
Nothing. NoteTaker does not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising identifiers, or tracking of any kind, and it does not phone home.
Permissions the app asks for
Microphone, to record the session you start. Recording only happens while you have pressed Record.
Speech recognition, to transcribe the recording on the device.
Both can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings. The app will explain what stops working.
Sample content
On first launch the app contains two sample sessions so you can see what it produces. They are fictional, were not recorded by anyone, and can be deleted.
Children
NoteTaker is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever gains a feature that changes what data is sent or stored, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
